Professor or Reader in Environmental Economics - AC2062SB

The School of Geography & Sustainable Development seeks to recruit a world-class leader in Environmental Economics. The post provides an exciting opportunity to lead the development of one of the School's successful interdisciplinary research areas, with a portfolio of research, teaching and leadership roles within and outside the School. The post-holder will contribute to School strategy as a member of the Research Committee, while also providing leadership for the undergraduate degree in Sustainable Development and contributing to a one-year taught MSc in Sustainable Development and Environmental Economics. The starting date is as soon as is mutually convenient, ideally no later than September 2018.

It is essential that you have a strong, international research record, a proven track-record for excellent teaching, and an interest in collegial, interdisciplinary work. You will have an outstanding grant-seeking track-record in relation to research councils and other sources.

Informal enquiries can be directed to the Head of School, Professor Bill Austin (wena@st-andrews.ac.uk), or Dr Carola Braun (cib6@st-andrews.ac.uk).
