An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an
Event Coordinator in the Centre for Energy Ethics within the School of
Philosophical, Anthropological and Film Studies at the University of St Andrews. Working closely with the Centre Director,
Centre Administrator, Digital Communications Officer, Senior Policy Fellow, Artist-in-Residence
and the wider Research Team, the post holder will provide pro-active and
professional support to ensure the smooth organisation and running of events at
the Centre for Energy Ethics.
The role holder will have extensive experience
of working in events and public engagement, and of managing projects and
events. They will have excellent organisational, numerical, administrative and
communication skills. They will be a strong team player with good interpersonal
skills, a highly motivated self-starter who is able to plan, organise and
prioritise their workload in a busy and fast-paced environment. They will have
excellent IT skills and knowledge of virtual event platforms. In fulfilling the role, they will be expected
to proactively liaise with students and staff across Schools and Units as well
as with external stakeholders.
Experience in a similar role in a University or
research environment would be advantageous.
This is a part time (0.5 FTE) post, on a fixed
term contract for 3 years.
