Professor/Senior Lecturer in Public Health – AC7971MR

We are seeking to appoint a Professor/Senior Lecturer in Public Health. This is a standard appointment with a start date in September, or as soon as possible thereafter. Candidates should hold a MFPH and a PhD (or equivalent independent research experience) in Statistics, Epidemiology or related quantitative disciplines and have a clear track record of excellence in teaching and research, including evidence of significant income generation and high impact publications. The successful candidate will provide leadership around development and delivery of research strategy in Public Health and develop their own areas of education and research expertise, while engaging collaboratively across the University and beyond.

The School has four research divisions of which Population and Behavioural Science (PBS) Division encompasses research into Health Informatics, Community trials, Public Health, Health Psychology, and Adolescent Health. We are the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for International Child and Adolescent Health Policy and a collaborating site of the Scottish Consortium of Health Data Research UK (HDRUK@Scotland). Prof Frank Sullivan, Chair of Primary Care Medicine, is Head of Division.
