The School of Medicine is looking to recruit a Medical Admissions Officer. This post will involve managing the Medical Admissions Team (a team of 3) to recruit and admit applicants to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the School of Medicine. This will include consideration of policies and agreements relating to regulated number management and widening participation. The post holder will also manage the allocation of students on the BSc (Hons) Medicine programme to six partner medical schools.  

 

Liaising with the Director of Medical Admissions and fully engaged with the central University Admissions service the role holder will be based in the School of Medicine. The role holder will liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders and sit on a number of cross-institutional and national working groups.  

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant experience of university admissions systems and working to complex targets.  

 

This is a full-time position on a fixed term contract of 8 months to cover a period of maternity leave.
