University Museums Casual Staff

Do you have basic museum or heritage experience?

Would you be interested in being on a casual workers register to help with projects at the University Museums?

Museums of the University of St Andrews are in an exciting period of redevelopment, with the extended and refurbished Wardlaw Museum opening in 2020 and future plans to open up the collections for research and teaching. We are looking to build up a register of casual staff who we can contact to work on specific projects. No regular time commitment, just a commitment to being contacted about periods of work as and when projects require them. If you have some experience of working in the museum or heritage sector and handling objects, we want to hear from you! We have collections covering fine and decorative arts, natural history, scientific instruments, ethnography, archaeology, chemical specimens…… whatever collections you might have experience of, we’ve probably got something to match!

If you’re interested please email Jessica Burdge (jab8@St-andrews.ac.uk) by Friday 13th December with a brief overview of your experience, interest and general availability.
