Lectureship in Behaviour, Ecology, Evolution – AC2357NB

The School of Biology wishes to appoint a Lecturer to its academic staff at the Centre for Biological Diversity (CBD).  

 

The successful candidate will be an outstanding scholar of international standing in the fields of Behaviour, Ecology, or Evolution, with a strong track record in relevant research and teaching.  

 

The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests that strengthen and complement those within the Centre for Biological Diversity and the School of Biology in general and make an outstanding contribution to the field’s advancement through research outputs.  

 

We may also explore potential joint positions with other Scottish-based research institutes.   

 

Candidates will be expected to provide international leadership in their chosen field and seek out interdisciplinary opportunities to strengthen their research and teaching. They will also hold a doctorate in biology or a cognate discipline and will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level and supervise research students.  

 

The primary criteria for appointment will be evidence of, or clear potential to develop, an internationally-recognised research record and evidence of teaching experience at university level.
