Applications are invited for a postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on an EPSRC-funded project. The work is based within the Optical Manipulation Group in the School of Physics and Astronomy (see https://opticalmanipulationgroup.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk). The group aims to build upon a range of internationally recognised work in the area of photonics and its applications at St Andrews. The specific topic area is to provide new skills in image analysis and optical imaging methods that complement on-going studies in the team in one or more of the following light sheet imaging, Raman spectroscopy and optical coherence tomography. The post is for one year in the first instance but with scope for extension.

The post-holder will be required to undertake both experimental work and numerical studies. They will play a leading role in implementing new feasibility studies in imaging using a range of biological samples and working closely with biomedical collaborators.
