*While the role is paid on the University’s grade 2 salary scale (£22,770-£23,070) per annum, due to current market conditions, a supplement of 15% will be added bringing the overall annual salary to: £26,185 - £26,531 which equates to an hourly rate of £13.89-£14.05. Placement on the appropriate pay point within the grade will be dependent on experience. 

 

The market supplement will be reviewed in 2 years, with the University’s recognized Trade Unions, and if a decision is taken to remove or reduce the supplement, full consultation will take place before this is implemented.   

 

At the University of St Andrews Nursery, due to growth within the Nursery an exciting opportunity has arisen with the team. We are seeking to recruit two Qualified Early Years Practitioners (EYP) to join our experienced and caring group of practitioners.  

 

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and creative individuals who will contribute to the learning and development of our nursery children. This will involve supporting children with a wide range of group and individual needs, developing positive partnerships with parents, and working closely with our Senior EYPs and EYPs.  

 

At the University Nursery we offer our children a wide range of experiences and opportunities that will help them develop and flourish as they learn new skills through the play experience. The role of the EYP and wider Nursery staff will be to ensure a child centred approach in all aspects of the nursery. The EPYs will facilitate such opportunities and experience which will enables our children to make decisions and solve problems.
