Research Fellow– AR2347MR

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow funded by the Chief Scientific Office (CSO) under their Rapid Research in COVID-19 programme (RARC-19 programme). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr Ruth Bowness MRC Fellow within the Infection and Global Health Division of the School of Medicine and the Mathematical Biology group in the School of Mathematics and Statistics on a project at the interface of mathematics and medicine. The post-holder will also work closely with Professor Mark Chaplain from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and Professor Stephen Gillespie from the School of Medicine.

You should have a PhD in applied mathematics, computer science or another cognate discipline with a substantial computational component. Candidates must have a strong background in computational modelling and be interested in interdisciplinary systems biology research. As this is a rapid research call, this five-month post is available immediately, or as soon as possible thereafter.
