Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr Jo Hobbs conducting research for an Academy of Medical Sciences funded project focused on the molecular mechanisms underpinning antibiotic tolerance. The primary duties will be to use cloning, bacterial genetics, antibiotic susceptibility assays, omics approaches, biochemical analysis and an in vivo infection model to investigate the molecular mechanisms and clinical consequences of antibiotic tolerance in pathogenic bacteria.
The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in molecular microbiology with expertise in cloning, bacterial culture, antibiotic susceptibility assays, and/or in vivo infection models.
The post is available for 12 months starting 1st August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
