Lecturer in Slavonic and/or Russophone Literatures and Cultures – AC4786HM

We wish to appoint a Lecturer in Slavonic and/or Russophone Literatures and Cultures. You will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation and commitment to delivering high quality teaching within the broader field of Slavonic and East European Studies, and in written and spoken Russian and Russophone Studies.  The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests, to be active in research that strengthens or complements that of others in the School and to be capable of teaching the subject to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds. We encourage applications from candidates with research specialisms in post-socialist and/or post-colonial literature and theory, transnational Russophone literatures and cultures, LGBTQI+ literatures and cultures, environmental humanities, and decolonial approaches to Russian language teaching.    

 

Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting impact and knowledge exchange are essential.  You should also have some familiarity with grant seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.
