Office Coordinator - CG2303DD

The School of Modern Languages invites applications for the position of Office Coordinator.

As Office Coordinator, you will lead the School Office team and direct the delivery of its administrative operations. Working closely with the School Manager, you will be responsible for setting operational priorities, managing workloads, and ensuring that service standards and deadlines are met. You will also have specific responsibilities for assessment operations and related teaching administration matters – including administering end-of-module written examinations, overseeing reporting of marks and grades, and providing professional support to the School’s Director of Teaching. You will deputise for the School Manager in their absence – providing a point of contact for matters normally handled by the School Manager and ensuring that the Head of School has support with any urgent matters.

For this role, you must have experience in further- or higher-education administration as well as experience of leading a team. You must be able to demonstrate a confident, positive, and constructive approach to leading people and an ability to foster a positive and a collegiate team dynamic. You will be able to demonstrate a strong sense of personal leadership, high-level communication skills, and the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise your own work and that of others.
