School Administrator - CG1579HM

The School of Geography and Sustainable Development (SGSD) and the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences (SEES) are seeking to appoint a School Administrator to provide an efficient and welcoming front-of-house reception to all visitors, students and staff, and to support the administration of teaching activity. You will join a team of seven colleagues and be responsible for general office duties and organisational support to the team as well as academic staff, particularly with regard to events and fieldtrip organisation and data management.

We are looking for a candidate who has administrative experience within an office environment, ideally in higher or further education. You will need a customer-focused mindset and must be a collaborative team member with good attention to detail and able to work on your own initiative. Good computing skills and a pleasant telephone manner are essential, as is the ability to relate well to staff and students in the context of a busy office. This is a varied role and the post holder will be required to effectively manage their time and adopt a proactive approach to their work.

The starting date for the position is as soon as possible.
