Office Coordinator - AD2303R

The School of Modern Languages invites applications for the position of Office Coordinator.  

As Office Coordinator, you will have a key role in the School’s professional services team – coordinating the day-to-day work of the School Office and deputising for the School Manager in their absence. You will set personal and team priorities and monitor progress towards deadlines/goals – in particular, relating to assessment administration. As well as confidence in coordinating administrative activities, you will understand what makes for a positive team environment and what you need to do to motivate others to do their best.  

Working closely with the School Manager and providing clerical support for the School’s Management Committee you will also develop your understanding of the School’s governance.  

For this role, you must have relevant experience in further- or higher-education administration as well as experience of guiding and developing a team. You will be able to plan and organise your own work and the work of others, find solutions to operational needs, and respond to changing priorities or requirements. Additionally, you will be able to build and develop constructive and effective working relationships and be able to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and professional way.
