Assistant Bioinformatician - AR2633SB

Applications are sought for an Assistant Bioinformatician to work within the Sir James Mackenzie Institute of Early Diagnosis; an interdisciplinary research collaboration, capitalising on internationally respected basic and applied research in a range of disciplines.   It offers an inspiring and supportive environment committed to fostering ideas, sharing of knowledge and skills around earlier diagnosis of human disease.  The Mackenzie Institute draws from existing expertise in early diagnosis that is distributed across disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography & Sustainable Development, Mathematics & Statistics, Medicine, Physics & Astronomy and Psychology & Neuroscience.

 

The role holder will contribute to analysis of large datasets and provide reports on the findings. 

 

The post is available for 3 years in the first instance starting as soon as possible and will be based in the School of Medicine.
