Research Fellow in Optical Imaging (2 posts) – AR2191MR

Applications are invited for two Research Fellows to work on an EPSRC-funded project. The work is based within the Optical Manipulation Group in the School of Physics and Astronomy (see https://opticalmanipulationgroup.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk). The group aims to build upon a range of internationally recognised work in the area of photonics and its applications at St Andrews. The specific topic area is in the area of new concepts in optical imaging. We are particularly interested in researchers with prior experience in one or both of multiphoton imaging or light sheet imaging. The post is for one year in the first instance but with scope for extension.

The post-holder will be required to undertake both experimental work and numerical studies. They will play a leading role in implementing new optical imaging geometries, studies with beam shaping as well as imaging using a range of biological samples.
