The School of Modern Languages invites applications for the position of Reader of Italian Studies and Comparative Literature. You will be an outstanding scholar with an international research reputation and a proven track record of internationally excellent/world-leading publications, securing significant grant funding, and leading high quality externally funded research projects. The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests which strengthen and complement those within the School. The successful candidate will also be expected to have a track record of delivering high quality teaching and to be capable of teaching both subjects to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Candidates will hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. You should be able to demonstrate success in attracting research funding and/or other financial support.
