The Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) is a cross-national research study across 43 countries in Europe and North America and is conducted in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for Europe. The study aims to gain new insight into, and increase our understanding of, young people's health and well-being, health behaviours and their social context. The Child and Adolescent Health Research Unit (CAHRU), based at St Andrews University, is currently the home to the International Coordinating Centre (ICC) of HBSC.

We are recruiting for an HBSC Research Communications Officer to be responsible for the implementation of a communications strategy for the HBSC study with an aim to increase the impact of international study. The role focuses on external communications at a European and international level: with study partners, policy makers, NGOs, academic researchers and other relevant agencies and organisations with an interest in young people’s health and well-being. The role will also include responsibility for increasing network member interaction and knowledge sharing through collaborative platforms such as HBSC Google Apps and social media forums such as Facebook and Twitter.

You should be educated in Professional Writing, Journalism, Communications or Public Relations You must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
