We wish to appoint 1.0 FTE / 10 PAs of Clinical Teacher(s)
within the School of Medicine. You will be a clinician with a commitment to
delivering high quality teaching within the broad field of medicine. The
successful candidate(s) will be expected to have a range of interests in
clinical medicine and relevant basic science. You should expect to teach in the
university setting as well as in the community. There is also the expectation
that you would contribute to curriculum development and delivery of
undergraduate courses.
Candidates should hold an MBChB with full current
GMC registration with a licence to practise medicine. Excellent teaching skills
and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. In addition to teaching responsibilities,
candidates should expect to contribute to all aspects of the assessment process
and be willing to act as personal tutor to a small number of students.
Applicants wishing a contract ranging from 1 day
a week to full time are welcome.
* The role holder needs to be practising in a clinical setting
to be considered for the clinical salary scale. The matter will be discussed at
interview and prior to any offer of employment.
