The University of St Andrews is looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Senior Network Engineer to provide technical leadership within a dynamic and exciting environment at a world class institution. 

The responsibilities include the management of all aspects of IT infrastructure at the University. This includes design, implementation, configuring devices, troubleshooting, and co-ordination with the customer and other teams.

You will be in the Network & Infrastructure Team, part of the Applications, Infrastructure and Software Development Group based in IT Services.  As the senior specialist in a small team you will be responsible for hands-on technical build, test & commissioning of complex networks and maintaining the Cisco wireless network estate.

In addition to providing sector leading research and teaching, the University also manages a vast accommodation estate, cafes, theatres, restaurants and spin-off companies.

In 2019, the University will establish purpose-built office accommodation at the Eden Campus, Guardbridge, by St Andrews, to provide a state-of-the-art working environment for several our Professional Services Units, including IT Services. It is anticipated that up to 350 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at the Eden Campus. This post will be primarily based at Guardbridge.
